ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study is to approach a way of incorporating the popular game Angry Birds in secondary education according to the curriculum of the Ministry of Education for Physics and to investigate the effect of this teaching on pupils' performance. For this purpose, there were created and implemented three courses, which were based on the digital game, which was created based on a clone of the Angry Birds game. The lessons were designed based on the Physics Book of the 2nd grade of High School. The case study involved 26 students of the first grade, a class of a private school, within the course of physics. The results of the survey have shown that younger students can acquire knowledge through game-based teaching, having the same results as traditional teaching. But all of the students who attended the lesson with the digital game had better results, regardless of their level, in comparison to the students who attended traditional teaching.
