The product of this project was a suite of programs for user interaction within industrial environments. A PC-based implementation of the H.261 standard was employed to transmit audio and video in real time through LANs, especially in lower data rates such as 64-320 KBps. This was applied in teleworking applications in industrial and entrepreneurial environments, such as that of Intracom and the results were quite satisfactory for the users. Also, new algorithms were applied in different stages of the project in the implementation of the DCT for encoding and transmission of high fidelity images |
